Park Hyatt Sydney continues to uphold its reputation as Sydney's premier hotel when it was awarded the coveted Deluxe Hotel Accommodation of the Year Award at the 2012 Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Awards for Excellence.

In an evening that celebrated the achievements of hospitality professionals and accommodation providers in New South Wales, Park Hyatt Sydney general manager Andrew Mensforth received the leading award of the night - Deluxe Hotel Accommodation of the Year, from The Hon. George Souris, Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Hospitality and Racing to much applause and recognition. Park Hyatt Sydney was awarded the coveted award based on the hotel's overall excellence in architecture, design and exceptional service.

Re-emerging after an 11-month closure, the newly renovated 22-year old harbourfront luxury hotel reopened its doors to a dramatic transformation featuring an intimate residential-style concept with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open out to iconic views of Sydney's most famous landmarks and an enhanced 24-hour butler service team.

"We are honoured to receive such a highly coveted award from Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW). The team at Park Hyatt Sydney has worked hard towards reaching our milestones and this achievement is evident of our commitment to provide our guests the best accommodation and service we can offer", said general manager Andrew Mensforth.

Since its recent reopening less than six months ago, Park Hyatt Sydney has received four prestigious international and local awards including Travel + Leisure magazine's IT List: The Best New Hotels 2012 and Best Australian Hotel - Luxury Travel Magazine Annual Gold Awards 2012.

The Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Awards for Excellence are recognised as the nation's premier hospitality awards, honouring the achievement of excellence in a wide range of 31 categories in the accommodation industry. The awards are open to all members of the Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Division, who meet the high standard nomination criteria.
