'A Million Experiences to Share'
Presented by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the PATA Gold Award  was developed to recognise travel industry organisations which have made outstanding contributions to successfully develop and promote travel and tourism in Asia Pacific.

Shahrin Mokhtar, Director, Tourism Malaysia Sydney, believes the recognition is a reflection of the innovative programs and marketing initiatives implemented by Tourism Malaysia, to promote the country as a premier tourist destination.

"The Tourism Malaysia marketing programme aims to display the breadth and diversity of tourism options on offer in Malaysia. From eco-tourism, to community-based homestay programmes, to opportunities for adventure, and of course our beautiful beaches and cosmopolitan cities, Malaysia offers a unique mix of experiences for travellers, and our marketing activity aims to capture this diversity."
