Just minutes from Ocean View Estate Winery and local farm gates, the two bedroom property overlooks lush farmland where Yajambee’s grass fed cattle roam. Perched on top of Mount Mee, guests can enjoy views out to the Glass House Mountains and Moreton Island whilst soaking in the magnesium plunge pool or whilst barbecuing Yajambee beef in the alfresco dining area.
Guests can read a book by the fireplace or explore local walking tracks in the D’Aguilar National Park. Nearby, Birches restaurant offers seasonal lunch and dinner menus from their classic Queenslander with wide verandas ideal for summer months and an indoor fireplace for winter warming. Just a ten minute drive from the property is Ocean View Estates where visitors can enjoy a tour, tasting and meal. Ocean View also specialise in events with dedicated spaces for ceremonies, entertaining and helicopter landings.
Yajambee Farms is owned and run by Jamie and Gabe Yates who are passionate about ethical and regenerative farming. They sell 100% grass-fed Angus beef direct to families from their own farm - offering a true paddock to plate experience.
Guests at the Yajambee Farm Stay are able to purchase their own meat and either take it home or if they live locally, have it delivered to their doorstep.
“We are so thrilled to welcome this new boutique accommodation to the Moreton Bay’s tourism offering. Our Hinterland, including Mount Meet but also extending to Woodford, Samford and Dayboro, is growing in popularity as people discover what is just up the road from Brisbane,” said Tash Wheeler, CEO of Visit Moreton Bay.
Farm stay owner Jamie said they are looking forward to welcoming more guests to experience their farm and in doing so, hope to educate more people around sustainable farming.
“We welcome travellers to relax and unwind in the fresh country air whilst experiencing our little slice of paradise in the Moreton Bay region,” said Jamie.
