Tuesday 29th April – Cunnamulla – Reels & Railway (A)
No matter which way your Outback Trail adventure takes you, you will pass through the quintessential Outback town of Cunnamulla. Famous for its statue of the Cunnamulla Fella, immortalised in song by Slim Dusty, the beautiful riverside hot springs, and true Outback-farming home-stay experiences, we stop off in Cunnamulla to spend an evening with the locals. Stop in for a movie at the old Train Station, book dinner at Pieta’s Club Boutique Hotel featuring a live performance by the talented Sue Ray, visit Sally's Country Wear store to browse the Outback Fashions and see true relics of Outback farming life at the Visitor Info Centre. Experience the history and yarn with the people that make Cunnamulla the tightly linked community that it is.

Travelling along the Cunnamulla Road that winds through farmland and opens out into the red desert, we arrive in the town of Thargomindah. This event is all about community. Featuring Taylor Moss playing tunes rehearsed with the school kids and a casual BBQ with the locals, join us on the Thargomindah Oval in the late afternoon to relax with old and new trailer mates.
Thursday 1st May – Eromanga – Unearthed: A Night at Eromanga (A)
A Night at The Museum will take place in the heart of the ‘Natural Sciences Loop’ at the extraordinary Eromanga Natural History Museum. Architecturally designed, and nestled on the Museum reserve, ENHM holds the key to 95 million years of history and is home to one of the world’s largest dinosaurs, “Cooper”. Discovered by a local boy on his parent's property, Cooper unlocked a treasure trove of bones, fossils and relics that shine a light on the history and cultural heritage of the upper Murray/Darling and Lake Eyre/Cooper basins.
Join for canapes on the lawn, science talks with local Geologist, museum tours and music as the sun sets on the endless horizon beyond the museum reserve. Featuring Bronson Diamond & Greta Stanley in a performance that promises to be as unique as the location.
Saturday 3rd May – Charleville – Outback Sounds (A)
The centrepiece of the Outback Trail; our signature Open-Air Outback Festival is back in 2025 with a killer line up to get your cowboy boots on the dance floor! Set in the iconic town of Charleville at the historic Showgrounds, Outback Sounds sees your outback adventure end on a high note. Opening with Welcome to Country, Outback Sounds showcases the local community and the spirit of togetherness through dance with Charleville Dance House and Healthy Ageing. With the sun moving across the sky, Brisbane bands The Wet Whistles, will kick off the main stage line up, followed by Tamworth 2025 Toyota Star Maker winner (to be announced). To make sure you simply can't sit down, we have explosive Queensland act Bella Mackenzie to keep you on your feet with her country-pop energy, followed by Bronson Diamond & Greta Stanley who bring a little taste of Johnny & June to the day. To finish this epic line up, Australian Country super-star James Johnston sings songs of country life with an authenticity that will make a drover cry, a farmer sigh, a young jackaroo spin, a country girl smile and city folk wistful. Outback Sounds is a celebration of sound, stories, and community that echoes through the heart of the outback.
