Kakadu's Cannon Hill, Yellow Water Villas and Kakadu Air |
Kakadu National Park’s breathtaking scenery and wildlife are scene stealers in the series, which is the biggest screen show set in the Northern Territory since Crocodile Dundee, which first brought Kakadu to international attention back in 1986.
In just its second week, Territory became the second-most-watched TV series globally, with a total of 12.7 million views over the first two weeks.
Territory included Kakadu National Park in several scenes, leveraging its striking landscapes to depict the intensity and ruggedness of the neo-western drama, which has been described (jokingly) as “Dallas with dingoes”.
Special permission was granted by Kakadu’s Traditional Owners to film within the park, including locations such as Cannon Hill, a dramatic sandstone rock which is a listed sacred site within the park containing significant rock art dating back many thousands of years.
Summer is the perfect time to view Kakadu at its wildest, with its thundering waterfalls a special highlight. Making a visit even more attractive is a range of special offers available over summer.
