Aurora Expeditions launch 2016-17 Antarctica brochure with Partners Fly Free to South America deal

To celebrate the release of their new 2016-2017 Antarctica e-Brochure, Aurora Expeditions – the experts in polar cruising – are offering an exclusive Partners Fly Free to South America package deal. Couples can save up to $2,675 when they book a fully-inclusive Antarctic package before 31 January 2016.

Three specially-produced packages have been designed for a selection of Aurora Expeditions’ 2016 and 2017 Antarctic expeditions, and allow travellers to seamlessly book their ultimate adventure from start to finish in one go. Each package includes a choice of a 12- or 18-day Antarctica expedition aboard the 54-passenger Polar Pioneer, return international flights to South America, domestic flights within South America and a 3-night city stopover in either Santiago or Buenos Aires, including accommodation, half-day city sightseeing tour and airport transfers.

The ready-to-go packages are available for the following expeditions:
  • ‘Photographer’s First Light’ - departing 19 November 2016 this 18-day expedition will explore the South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula, and will feature exclusive photography workshops with polar photographer and guide Antony Watson.
  • ‘Spirit of Antarctica’ – departing 6 December 2016 the 12-day expedition is an adventurer’s go-to expedition featuring kayaking, climbing and camping!
  • ‘In Shackleton’s Footsteps’ – departing 8 March 2017 this 18-day expedition is the finale to the Shackleton Centenary, retracing Shackleton’s infamous Endurance expedition which left him and his 27 men stranded in Antarctica for 497 days.

Each expedition will be guided by Aurora Expeditions’ team of experts, including naturalists, historians and polar specialists, who will interpret your surroundings through lively talks and presentations and as you land ashore for daily excursions.

The fully-inclusive Antarctica package price starts from AU$17,995 for the first person, with the second person travelling from just AU$15,320. Packages must be booked before 31 January 2016 to be eligible for the Partners Fly Free deal.

Aurora Expeditions will run 10 expeditions between November 2016 and March 2017, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, the Weddell Sea, the Antarctic Circle, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.

Travellers will be able to choose from a selection of itineraries, each offering a unique adventure with a range of special interest activities such as photography, kayaking, climbing, polar snorkelling and scuba diving, as well travelling with experts from a range of key organisations who share Aurora Expeditions commitment to conservation and education including BirdLife Australia, the Australian Geographic Society and RiAus – Australian’s national science hub.
