Sydney Australia is set for another record cruise season, with a 30 per cent jump in bookings on last year’s record breaking period. 265 ships are booked to sail into Sydney this cruise season – up from 198 last season. At the peak of the season, referred to as Super February, there will be a record 40 ship visits in just 28 days.

Highlights of the coming season will include:

• The opening, in March 2013, of the new $57 million Cruise Passenger Terminal at White Bay
• The launch of a new Master Plan for the Overseas Passenger Terminal, with at least $30 million in improvements
• Access to Garden Island berthing for three cruise ships.
