The Spring Hotel - Luxury Boutique Hotel in Saigon

The Spring Hotel
The Spring Hotel is a great boutique style hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. It is a Vietnamese family operated three star hotel that opened in 1996, and is now managed by Ms Thuy Trang, the granddaughter of the couple who first opened the hotel.

I recently stayed tat the Spring Hotel for two nights when I attended the ITE HCMC 2012 and was impressed with the friendly and thoughtful staff who speak good English. What amazed ne about the staff is that they recognized me each time when I spoke with them without them asking for my name or room number.

The hotel is called the Spring Hotel as it is like an island of calm in the bustling city of Saigon.

The Spring Hotel has impressive classic Greco-Roman styled interiors, with statues, columns and decorative cornices. The lobby has an impressive grand spiral staircase, though most people use the convenience of the lift.

The Spring Hotel is in a great central location of Ho Chi Minh City, just 7 kilometers from Tan Son Nhat Airport. It is nearby many shops, restaurants, shopping streets and business offices. It is walking distance to the major tourist attractions in the city, such as Dong Khoi St, City Opera House, Ben Thanh Market Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Hardrock Café, the River and the Diamond Plaza, Vincom Centre and Parkson shopping malls.

Breakfast is included in the room rate with the guest able to choose from a menu, Each morning I chose an omelette with toast or baguette, fresh fruit platter, coffee and juice. This first meal of the day was very plentiful and filling

To keep in touch with family back home it was good to have free wi-fi in the rooms. Two computers with free internet access were available in the lobby at all times for those people who did not bring a laptop or tablet computer with them. The staff were even kind enough to offer me a free cup of tea when I was using one of these computers.

Guest Rooms

There are several types of well designed rooms all stylishly decorated with columns, pictures, and dark timbered furniture and good bathrooms. What impressed me about the hotel was the cleanliness of the guest rooms and public areas. I observed that they have a team of two people who clean out each room.
The Spring Hotel has 45 well appointed rooms of various types that provide convenience and comfort for both the business and the leisure traveler. All the rooms offer individual controlled air-conditioning, Satellite TV with international channels, Wifi internet access, Mini-bar, IDD Telephone, Refrigerator, Safe and  Private bathroom with shower and bath, Hair-dryer, Bathrobe/Slippers.  Non-smoking or smoking rooms are available on request.

Available are  Single, Double and Triple Economy, Standard, First Class, Deluxe Rooms and Suites. Standard rooms are 21m2; First Class rooms are 25m2; Deluxe rooms are 28m2; and Suite rooms are 44m2.

Restaurant

The Spring Hotels on-site restaurant is a welcoming space arranged to treat guests to a pleasant dining experience. It serves exquisite Asian specialties and Western recipes. The nice Bar is ideal for an evening of partying over cocktails and wines.
