Major Events Headline Gold Coast's Summer of Fun

Gold Coast 600
Gold Coast Sevens - Fever Pitch International Rugby 7s and the ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600 motorsport and entertainment festival will headline the start of an action-packed summer events calendar for Australia's favourite playground.

Spectacular venues, stunning weather and an unashamed sense of fun - welcome to the Gold Coast; the home of some of Australia's most iconic events.

Quicksilver and Roxy Pro
Since winning the bid to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games, our city is buzzing with energy and excitement. And rightly so, because if there's one thing Gold Coasters know, it's how to host a party.

Each year, lovers of sport, food, wine, fashion, music, and the arts flock to our sun-drenched city to find their kind of fun in a calendar brimming with fantastic events.

New Year's celebrations kick into gear with the glitz and glamour of the BMW Magic Millions yearling sales, carnival and race day, while the World's best surfers unleash during the Breaka Burleigh Pro. This event serves as the perfect pre-cursor to the opening round of the ASP World Tour during the Quicksilver and Roxy Pro from late February.

International Rugby 7s
If the arts or culture is more your style, we've got you covered with an eclectic mix of exhibitions and unique local festivals. The summer line-up is endless with Summerfieldayze and Big Day Out always major crowd-pullers.

Later in the year, soak up the relaxed ambience of festivals like Blues on Broadbeach, Swell Sculpture Festival or Cooly Rocks On, or indulge your inner foodie at a range of culinary celebrations.
