PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney Embarks on a Multi-Million Dollar Refresh

PARKROYAL Darling Harbour
The PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney Hotel has announced that it is embarking on a multi-million dollar refurbishment to capture the spirit of Sydney. The refurbishment commenced on 28th May 2012 and will be completed in ate September 2012, and will include the hotel's guest rooms as well as the club lounge and lobby.

The refurbishment is inspired by today's travellers, their needs and expectations. Collaborating with acclaimed design company, HASSELL, PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney will feature enhancements that complement the PARKROYAL brand while providing a unique character that is in harmony with its iconic Australian location.  HASSELL is a multi-award winning company, with more than 650 design awards and  was recently ranked Australasia's number one architectural design practice in the 2012 BD World Architecture Top 100.

The overall design concept introduces a vibrant and fresh new colour palette that represents the natural Sydney surrounds - from beach to bush landscape. Neutral greys are highlighted against fresh blues and greens to create a sanctuary within the urban context. Located on the city-side of Darling Harbour and only minutes away from the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre, George Street, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Building, the revitalised PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney will reflect the individuality of its location and provide a modern, comfortable and supportive guest environment in line with the PARKROYAL brand.

The refurbishment will also incorporate the latest technology and innovation to deliver an enriched level of comfort and convenience. "The overall design concept evokes a contemporary response that has a 'crafted' approach whilst engendering a relaxed interior sanctuary. Guests staying at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney will be able to rest and be rejuvenated as they prepare for another exciting day ahead in Sydney." said Susan Standring, Principal of HASSELL. The hotel's Club Lounge provides an enhanced business experience which offers a host of personal privileges including priority check-in and check-out, complimentary laundry services and regular refreshments throughout the day. The refurbishment will introduce a warm and comfortable residential theme with a menu of different environments, making it more pleasurable to do business.

"Prior to commencing the refurbishment project, it was important that we listen to our guests and their expectations. The refreshed concepts and features are supported through guest feedback via our Internal Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire, customer insights from Trip Advisor and research on what today's traveller expects from a hotel experience" said Craig Bond, General Manager of PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney and Area General Manager - Oceania, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

"Through its enhancements, PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney will provide the perfect location for exploring the city whilst delivering authentic local encounters to make sure business and leisure guests get the most from their stay," said Mr Bond.

  1. He gave her his phone number, in a peculiar reversal of dating procedure. She might have considered kissing him, even after the horrible first date, but he just didn’t seem to know what to do. However, Jeremy does have one outstanding quality. He likes her. And this quality in a person makes them infinitely interesting to the person who is being liked.
