Countries From all Over Asia Mark their Presence in WTM Latin America

Countries from all over Asia, with the main highlight being India which has had a bilateral tourism agreement with Brazil since 2004, are present at the first edition of the World Travel Market Latin America (WTM Latin America), a global event for the travel industry in Latin America, which is taking place between April 23rd and April 25th at the Transamerica Expo Center in the city of São Paulo, in conjunction with the 39th Braztoa (the Brazilian Association of Tourism Operators) Commercial Encounter.

The Indian delegation headed by the country’s New York based tourism office, is responsible for the promotion in Brazil. Travel operators such as Atithi Voyages, which concentrates on niche market tours, such as sports fishing, medical treatments and motorcycle trips, and Quo Vadis, which also designs customized travel plans to Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Ceylon, as well as to India itself, of course, are participating in the event.

Other Asian countries that have marked their presence at WTM Latin America are Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.

WTM Latin America 2013 is organized by Reed Travel Exhibitions, which is based in London. It has institutional support from Embratur and sponsorship from Germany, the National Goods, Services and Tourism Federation (CNC), Brazil’s Sebrae (Brazilian Service of Assistance for Micro and Small Enterprises), Accor and Travelport.
