The Alexander the Great: 200 Years of Treasures exhibition at the Australian Museum is attracting strong crowds for the only opportunity to see this unique cultural exhibition, and which is exclusive to Sydney.
Alexander the Great: 200 Years of Treasures features the largest collection of treasures to come to Australia from the State Hermitage, St Petersburg, and includes over 400 unique objects from classical antiquity to the modern age, spanning a period of almost 2500 years.
Alexander the Great: 200 Years of Treasures closes on Sunday 28 April, however tickets are still available through the Australian Museum.
“I urge people to take the opportunity to see these treasures before the 28th of April, as they will not travel to Australia again in our lifetime,” said Frank Howarth, Director of the Australian Museum.
Anticipating a busy final month, which includes school holidays, Frank Howarth has a word of advice on the best time to view the exhibition: “Mornings are most popular, so anyone keen to avoid the crowds should try the afternoon, between 2 and 5pm.”
Alexander the Great: 200 Years of Treasures is supported by Destination NSW and is a key event on the NSW Events Calendar.
