The countdown is on for one of the most iconic events in Australian snowboarding - the 11th annual Transfer Banked Slalom, returning to Thredbo on August 15. As a cornerstone of the snowboarding calendar, this sell-out event draws riders of all generations and skill levels from across the globe to battle it out in the ultimate tournament of turns.

The event is made possible by Transfer Magazine, Australia’s leading snowboard media platform - trusted and respected throughout the industry. For the past 11 years, Transfer has played a key role in uniting the community through the Transfer Banked Slalom, now one of the most celebrated and anticipated events on the snow calendar.

Affectionately dubbed the snowboarders’ day of days, the Transfer Banked Slalom invites everyone from 7-year-old groms to Olympic athletes to drop in and throw down on a course that’s as creative as it is challenging. Winding through the trees of Playground, in Thredbo's Cruiser area, the tight turns and sculpted berms are built to test even the most seasoned riders.

Each competitor gets two runs to clock their fastest time, with the spotlight firmly on the fiercely contested Pro Men’s and Women’s podiums. But while the prize pool is big, the bragging rights are even bigger.

And it’s not just the racers bringing the energy. The spectator atmosphere is just as electric, with fans lining the course to cheer, celebrate, and soak up the sideline shenanigans. From start gate to finish line, this event is as much a celebration of the snowboarding community as it is a competition.

Registrations are now open and expected to fill up quick. Head to thredbo.com.au to learn more and register today.
