| Honolulu Pride |
This October, Honolulu will once again burst into vibrant colour and celebration as Honolulu Pride returns from 16–18 October 2025. Set against the iconic backdrop of Waikīkī, this year’s Pride honours the powerful theme Ho‘omau—a Hawaiian word meaning “to persevere.” It’s a timely reminder of the strength and unity of the LGBTQIA+ / MVPFAFF+ community, as well as a tribute to the leaders who continue to champion equality and inclusion in Hawai‘i and beyond.
Parade, Festival, and Cultural Celebrations
The festivities span three unforgettable days, starting with the dazzling Honolulu Pride Parade along Kalākaua Avenue. Expect floats, marching groups, and performances that blend aloha spirit with bold expressions of identity and pride. The celebration continues with the Honolulu Pride Festival at the Waikīkī Shell—an open-air venue where local artists, food vendors, and community groups come together in a joyful, inclusive atmosphere. In addition to the parade and festival, visitors can engage in a variety of cultural and educational events, from panel discussions and film screenings to live music and storytelling. These events offer meaningful opportunities to learn more about Hawai‘i’s LGBTQIA+ / MVPFAFF+ history and the ongoing work for equality and visibility.
Honouring Legacy, Embracing the Future
Presented by the Hawai‘i LGBT Legacy Foundation, Honolulu Pride 2025 is more than a party—it’s a platform for progress. The theme Ho‘omau speaks to the community’s determination to keep moving forward while staying grounded in culture, heritage, and mutual respect. Whether you're a local or a visitor, attending Pride in Honolulu is an inspiring way to connect with community, culture, and a shared vision for a more inclusive world.Plan Your Honolulu Pride Experience
