From 3 December 2025, Jetstar will begin seasonal services to the tropical paradise of Cebu in the Philippines, the first time there has been a direct flight between Australia and Cebu.
The new services will operate three times a week using Jetstar’s next-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft, part of the airline’s quieter and more fuel-efficient fleet.
"We know Queenslanders love to experience new destinations and Cebu will deliver in spades with gorgeous islands and people, rich Spanish colonial history, and vibrant street food culture, it is a tropical getaway waiting to be discovered,” according to Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff.
“It also strengthens important ties for Queensland’s large Filipino community, making it easier to connect with family, while boosting trade and business between two regions. This new route marks Brisbane Airport’s 34th direct international connection, which is the most ever, continuing our commitment to expanding travel opportunities and bringing the world closer to Queensland.
“We’re always on the lookout for new destinations to connect Brisbane to the world, so watch this space. Cebu is Jetstar’s 7th international route operated from Brisbane Airport, which is a proud milestone in our partnership to deliver value experiences for Queenslanders.”
Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully said the new route highlights Jetstar’s continued growth in Asia.
“As demand for low-cost international travel continues to grow, our pipeline of new aircraft is helping us deliver even more low fares to new destinations - so our customers can take off more, for less.”
