Behind the Gates: Cotton Gin Insider Tour (Saturday 16 Aug 2025, 6.45am–11.00am; $180 all ages): Join ABC Rural’s Matt Brann and industry leaders for a behind-the-scenes look at the brand-new cotton gin, followed by a native-inspired morning tea amidst the majestic surroundings of Mirima National Park.
Cotton Blooms & Tea Tales (Friday 15 Aug 2025, 10.00am–12.00pm; $52.50 all ages): Step into the serene beauty of the Ord Valley cotton fields for a picturesque morning of tea, conversation and connection. Enjoy a freshly brewed morning tea among blooming bolls as experts from Cotton Australia and WinCot (Women in Cotton) share behind-the-scenes insights into modern cotton production—all framed by the expansive Kimberley Ranges. Hosted by Cotton Australia & WinCot.
Pick & Sip at The Outback Flower Patch (Friday 15th Aug 2025, 3.30pm–6.00pm; $83 adult / $22 child): Wander the Outback Flower Patch at golden hour, hand-picking a bouquet of vibrant, locally grown blooms before settling in for a grazing platter and acoustic tunes. Adult tickets include a full bouquet and grazing platter; child tickets include a petite posy and kid-friendly grazing option. Drinks are available to purchase on site as you soak up the relaxed charm of the Ord Valley. Hosted by The Outback Flower Patch.
FEASTival (Saturday 16 Aug 2025, 4.00pm–9.30pm; Adults $35 / 13–17 yrs $18 / Under 13 free): Celebrate the Kimberley’s flavours under the stars at the iconic Kununurra Picture Gardens, where the evening comes alive with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the region. Wander through a lively showcase of local producers, sample fresh seasonal fare, and connect with growers, makers, and chefs who bring the land to life. With live music, cooking demonstrations, interactive experiences, and a warm community welcome, it’s a feast of food, culture, and conversation—wrapped in the magic of a Kimberley night.

A ‘Kimberley-inspired’ sausage-making showdown. Teams craft and grill their creations for public tasting and voting—winner takes home $2,000 and a month-long feature at Tenderspot Butcher. Plus, judges ABC Rural’s Matt Brann and Sue Smith (Ivanhoe Café) award $500 for the top judged flavour.

- Dangerous Goods – Kununurra trio known for inventive covers and unexpected twists
- Adele Oliver – Blending alt-country with her East Kimberley roots and Yawuru heritage, Adele channels influences from Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins and John Prine into soulful, guitar-driven storytelling. She wowed crowds at Nannup Music Festival (2021, 2025) and Odyssea (2023), warmed up for Troy Cassar-Daley in Broome (June 2024), and is fast becoming a standout voice in Australia’s country scene.
- Chris Matthews –A Kununurra-born country-folk-rock virtuoso, Chris dazzles with his multi-instrumental prowess on acoustic, slide and banjo. As El Questro’s resident solo act, he’s renowned for epic 3–4-hour finger-picking sets. A 2017 CMAA Songwriting Academy alum and Tamworth Festival opener, his anthems like “Kimberley Time” and “Trouble Come Looking” celebrate East Kimberley life.
