The response to the exhibition has been extremely strong, attracting thousands of art lovers from across Australia and Internationally. In October, a seven metre tall monumental original Salvador Dalí “Triumphant Elephant”, which is valued at $2.7 Million dollars, will arrive in Australia and be on display at d’Arenberg winery.
This increases the overall value of the sculpture collection to nine million dollars. The Salvador Dalí sculpture collection has been exhibited in major cities and museums worldwide. The collection features several magnificent sculptures of Dalí’s iconic soft watches. The message is that “Time reigns supreme over man, governing our existence in the real world”.
This is particularly relevant as 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the passing of Salvador Dali who died in 1989. Also exhibited are paintings by Australia’s own surrealist Charles Billich, whose artworks hang in the Vatican, The White House and the United Nations.
A documentary movie on the life of Charles Billich was released this month at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France. About the Dali Universe This multi-Million Dollar exhibition which celebrates Dali’s life and legacy is on loan from the Dalí Universe in Switzerland.
