Gunma / Gunma Safari Park

Other than the famous Kusatsu Onsen, the Gunma Prefecture certainly has more charms than you might know.

If you are in Japan and have a sudden thought of visiting a safari park, you can visit the Gunma Safari Park. Here you will be able to see 100 species of wild animals roaming freely, including the snow monkeys (also known as Japanese macaque) and moon bear (also known as Asian black bear) found in Japan.

By shinkansen and train, Gunma Prefecture is only about 2 hours away from Tokyo.
