New Zealand’s manaakitanga, generous hospitality, will be to the fore at CINZ MEETINGS 2019 when hosted buyers arrive for New Zealand’s largest business event exhibition in Auckland on 28 May.
Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive, Sue Sullivan says MEETINGS’ guests from around New Zealand, Australia, North America, China, and Asia can expect a very warm welcome when they arrive at MEETINGS 2019.
“Manaakitanga is at the heart of Māori culture and it highlights the importance of expressing generosity to others. It is an intrinsic part of everything we do in Aotearoa New Zealand. This year again we are ready to delight our guests with exceptional fare and entertainment at a myriad of social gatherings,” she says.
“With support from our partners including Air New Zealand, and top Auckland venues and hotels all our 650 delegates are promised an excellent Kiwi experience. From the moment they step on the plane we will be showcasing our best travel, food, service, accommodation and entertainment to make them feel at home.”
MEETINGS’ Welcome event on Tuesday 28 May will be a contemporary cocktail affair at Auckland Conventions, Venues and Events’ flagship venue, the newly refurbished Aotea Centre. Sue Sullivan says the welcome event will be highlighting the creativity for which the Aotea Centre is well known, with expert event management by The Events Group. “We are very excited to have this venue back after its multi-million-dollar refurbishment. Our theming will enhance the stunning contemporary design of this new building.”
Throughout the two-day event, buyers, exhibitors and media will be treated to delicious fare at morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, and all-day coffee and water. A Mix ‘n’ Mingle function on the show floor will feature an hour of drinks and food sensations from around the regions starting at 5pm on Wednesday 29 May.
The next evening, on 30 May, guests will be celebrating MEETINGS’ night of nights with a colourful Latin-themed “Fiestaval in the Sky” at SkyCity Convention Centre, with event management and design by Total Event.
The Kitchen at SkyCity will be putting on a feast of South American, Mexican and Latin cuisine at street stalls dotted around the venue. The Production and Music Agency is once again providing some of New Zealand’s best artists, performers and entertainment for the MEETINGS’ gala celebration.
