Rainforestation Welcomes Dingo Puppies

Rainforestation Nature Park, located in Kuranda, has welcomed the latest arrivals to their Koala & Wildlife Park – two 8-week old dingo puppies.

The puppies, one male and one female from the same litter, have recently arrived from a sanctuary in New South Wales.

Rainforestation Nature Park General Manager Chris Grantham said the puppies were already winning over the hearts of the park's wildlife keepers and visitors.

“They are incredibly cute, and have already got the keepers wrapped around their little paws,” he said.

“Given their age, they are still very playful and energetic, so it's very easy to get caught up watching them in their enclosure.”

The dingo puppies are yet to be named, but names will be announced in the coming weeks.

They join a range of native Australian animals at the Rainforestation Koala & Wildlife Park, including koalas, Tasmanian Devil, the Southern Cassowary, wombat, freshwater crocodiles, estuarine crocodiles and several species of lizard and snake.

Their arrival perfectly coincides with the celebration of Rainforestation Nature Park's 40th birthday, with several promotions and offers scheduled to run through 2016 to encourage locals to visit the park and recreate their memories from the last 40 years.
