Krabi Rock and Fire International Contest 2012

Krabi province is organizing the Krabi Rock and Fire International Contest 2012 during 28-29 April 2012 at Railay Beach, Thailand.  As well as its jagged cliffs and rock-climbing culture, the area is also well-known for its sandy beaches, natural beauty and excellent infrastructure, making it a popular tourist spot.

The sport of rock climbing will be promoted and publicised among tourists, both Thai and foreigners. Krabi province is fortunate to have abundant and outstanding natural attractions, particularly Railay Beach, featuring high steep limestone terrain standing over the turquoise colour of the Andaman Sea.  There are more than 600 world-class beautiful rock climbing routes and challenging climbing spots that are suitable for participants of all levels of experience and skill. Rock climbers can eye the panoramic views along beautiful coastlines and sandy beaches with numerous islands in the Andaman Sea.
