Hotel will be Candle Lit and Carbon Neutral

The Royal on the Park
With the upcoming earth hour on the 31st March, how are you helping to support this important and global event?
The Royal on the Park Hotel again enthusiastically embraces this important event, and being the 2011 GBTA Hotel Sustainability award winner, looks forward to utilising its recent refurbishment and upgrade to make this year's Earth hour even more successful.
Already a green star hotel, the Royal on the Park Brisbane is in the midst of double glazing every hotel room window, which will reduce the energy required to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature.  That combined with the LED lighting program to replace antiquated lights with LED lights, recycling facilities for guests, a green chef with his own onsite worm farm & compost herb garden, the Royal on the Park Hotel Brisbane will usher in Earth Hour with a plethora of Earth hour favourites.

A Candle lit Walnut restaurant, ever the intimate and stylish venue, will host a candle lit only dining experience paired with a special menu created solely for the evening. The hotel lobby will also become an enigmatic and mysterious zone, guiding guests by candle light only. The hotels exterior, normally illuminated by a colourful array of alternating lighting, will also fade to grey.
Committed to improving the environment and doing its part to help, the Royal on the Park Hotel Brisbane welcomes the 2012 Earth hour, and the reduction in energy use it promotes.
