China Fulfillling its Destiny as a Mega Meetings Destination

 
The Keynote Address at IT&CM China 2012 will be given by Mr Martin Sirk, CEO of ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), the Netherlands.

His Address is titled “China's Century: Fulfillling its Destiny as a Mega Meetings Destination” He will speak about why international meetings are such a critical component of strategic business development for a city or country, and why this role is still not widely understood or accepted by policymakers around the world. He will also speak about what steps China can take to fully exploit its growing importance as a global economic powerhouse.

Delegates will be given a better understanding of how international meetings offer unique opportunities to bring together leaders in the fields of science and technology, healthcare, trade and development, promoting China's expertise to the rest of the world, and attracting the world's finest thinkers to help China develop even faster and more sustainably.

Mr. Sirk's presentation will also challenge China to look at international meetings in a new way, and to establish policies that will enable it to become one of the top global meetings destinations.

The Keynote Address will be given on Tuesday 17 April 2012 14.30 – 15.15pm in theMultifunction Room 1, Level 1, SWEECC.
