Sacred sites are among the world’s most visited and venerated places

They offer another level of experience to both visitors and pilgrims, full of intensity, presence and, for some, a higher level of consciousness. 

The drawback is that they are often overcrowded whose presence tends to impact a very special moment. 

Secret Sacred Sites, a new Jonglez publication by Martin Gray, reviews 100 lesser-known sacred sites that are often only known to locals, guaranteeing a truly authentic visit. 

National Geographic photographer Gray has visited 160 countries and photographed hundreds of these sites. 

For the book he has selected his favourite hidden holy places.
