The opening follows a five-year complete rebuild in the former property’s footprint. Casablanca, also known by its Arabic name Dar el-Beida, is the largest city in Morocco and serves as the country's economic and business centre.

The city has a rich history, with its origins dating back to the 7th century BC although it was reconstructed in the 18th century by Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah.

It has the Hassan II Mosque, which is the second largest mosque in Africa and the seventh largest in the world, The city has its medina, art-deco buildings in the centre and a coastline.
