On the London stage in 2024

POLICE COPS: THE MUSICAL 

Following a successful run at Southwark Playhouse Borough in 2023, POLICE COPS: THE MUSICAL will return to the larger Southwark Playhouse Elephant for seven weeks, from 1 March 2024 to 20 April 2024. After five years at the Edinburgh Fringe, the comedy company POLICE COPS will present a new score for the physical musical comedy. It takes place in the USA, 1980, an era of tight jeans, fast cars, and uncompromising facial hair, a pair of mismatched police cops on the case to bring down the baddest cat in America!

Shrek the Musical 

The Broadway and West End Shrek the Musical, will transfer to the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith for six weeks from 19 July 2024 following its current tour of the UK and Ireland.

New York City Ballet at Sadler’s Wells 

New York City Ballet makes its Sadler’s Wells debut in March 2024 with UK premieres of works by Kyle Abraham, Justin Peck, and Pam Tanowitz, and a classic work by George Balanchine. NYCB was founded in 1948 and is one of the foremost ballet companies known for its contemporary style, speed, and musicality. It is the first time the company has performed in London since 2008.

Players King 

Sir Ian McKellen will play John Falstaff in Players King, at the Noel Coward Theatre for 12 weeks from April 2024. The production is Robert Icke’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2. Before then it will have runs at the New Wimbledon Theatre and Manchester Opera House.
