The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations informed that, after the process of inspecting and evaluating records of achievements and activities, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has fully met UNESCO's criteria, contributing to sustainable economic development and spreading national cultural values, being honoured in the category of outstanding tourism area in Asia-Pacific.
The commendation ceremony will be held on 3rd August 2023 in New Delhi, India within the framework of the Vietnam - India Economic and Cultural Exchange Forum programme and the commendation ceremony "The typical intellectuals, managers, scientists, social activists, entrepreneurs, enterprises in Asia – Pacific”; "Vietnamese identity brand positioning global value" is sponsored and certified by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations in collaboration with the Global Council of Trade and Technology of India.
Tuyen Lam Lake, 6 km south of Da Lat city-centre, a famous tourist destination of Lam Dong, has a water surface of 350 ha. It was created by the Tia stream - head water of Da Tam river. The lake and its surroundings have fresh air, tranquil atmosphere and diversified natural landscape. It will become a big attraction with unique types of tourism such as sight-seeing, camping, health caring, trekking, mountaineering, fishing, visiting revolutionary bases and other activities for sports and recreation, especially eco-tourism.
