Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP, a Tokyo-based studio, was commissioned by Kamikatsu to create an eco-conscious facility embodying the town's waste management ethos.

In 2003, Kamikatsu proclaimed Japan's inaugural Zero Waste Declaration. This groundbreaking commitment ensures that all community-generated waste is repurposed or recycled, sidestepping landfills and incineration.

It is about 45mins from Tokushima City by car. Alternatively, take the bus (about 60mins) from Tokushima Station to Yokose Nishi. From there, a 30-min bus journey takes you to Hibigatani, which is only a 3-min walk from the center.
