The annual Sacramento Farm-to-Fork Festival promises to pair good music with great food. Sacramento lays claim to being Farm-to-Fork Capital due to its farm-fresh restaurants, farmers markets and home-grown breweries.
The Californian capital, Sacramento is located where the Sacramento River and American River meet. The district of Old Sacramento provides a taste of the city’s Gold Rush era, with wooden sidewalks and wagon rides.
Since 2013 Sacramento’s Farmto-Fork festival has been celebrating the region’s food and agriculture and introduces visitors to its chefs, farmers, ranchers, vintners and brewers.
As well as food and live music, the festival also highlights the region’s vineyards and wineries at the Legends of Wine tastings, when 40 wineries set up in front of the State Capitol to offer wine samplings from across the region.
