New Nostalgia! Discover Tokyo’s hottest Town right now

OMO3 Asakusa by Hoshino Resorts
June in Tokyo means the beginning of a fascinating time of year: the rainy season. Purple and blue hydrangeas that burst into bloom all over the city are among the visual highlights. With no shortage of events (both indoors and out), there's so much to do and see in Tokyo at this time of the year.

This summer in Tokyo announces itself to be a particularly exciting one, thanks to Tokyo's #1 fireworks festival celebrating its comeback after being cancelled due to the pandemic for the last three years. As every year, beer gardens are opening across the city to welcome visitors for some outdoor pints.

From hotel openings and revamped neighbourhoods, to quirky new entertainment options, get ready for a summer like no other.

Hoshino Resorts' new City Tourism Hotel opens in Asakusa

On July 31, OMO3 Asakusa by Hoshino Resorts opens in the heart of Asakusa. The brand supports tourists to enjoy sightseeing around Asakusa through their guided tour activities. The view of Sensoji Temple and TOKYO SKYTREE visible throughout the building is an outstanding feature of the facility. All rooms are Japanese-style so you can kick off your shoes and relax, with some designed to re-create an Edo-era atmosphere. Visit website

Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival:

Summer's big Event to be held for the 1st time in 4 Years.
Tokyo's #1 fireworks festival attracts over 950,000 spectators every year, but was canceled due to the pandemic, and will be held this year for the first time since 2019. A total of roughly 20,000 fireworks will be set off from two launch sites along the Sumida River from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. A stellar sight to be enjoyed not only along the riverbank but from much of the rest of Tokyo, including “yakatabune” pleasure boats.
