Travel Proud stays at the heart of Sydney WorldPride 2023

Kimpton Margot Sydney
In 2023, Sydney Mardi Gras and Sydney WorldPride will introduce the world to the glittering and diverse LGBTQIA+ communities from Australia. Booking.com, a major partner and the exclusive digital travel provider for Sydney WorldPride 2023, has collated a list of LGBTQIA+ friendly Travel Proud stays surrounding some of the top Sydney WorldPride events, so travellers can enjoy being close to all the action and excitement.

Recognising the importance finding the right place to stay plays in having a more inclusive travel experience, in 2021 Booking.com launched its Travel Proud Hospitality training programme. More than 1,373 properties across Australia and New Zealand are now recognised for their inclusive hospitality efforts with a Travel Proud badge on Booking.com.

Melissa Ellison, Area Manager Australia at Booking.com says, “At Booking.com we believe travellers should feel safe, comfortable and authentically themselves no matter where they are and who they love. Travel should ideally be all about positive experiences, adventure and enjoyment. Yet for many LGBTIQIA+ travellers, this can often be a very different reality, as a majority (82%) of global travellers have experienced less than welcoming, or uncomfortable moments when travelling.”

With so many fantastic events on offer for Sydney WorldPride, Booking.com have highlighted some top picks, with accommodation options near each event, to keep you close to all the festivities.
