Explore the Adventure Playgound of Lithgow and District

You are spoilt for choice in Lithgow, NSW, Australia when it comes to canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling. Bushwalks range from multi-night adventures passing through all sorts of terrain, to smaller, less strenuous strolls exploring many historic areas.

The Lithgow destination National Park and State Forest areas provide many tracks for four-wheel drive vehicles, trail bikes and mountain bikes. The parks and forests also offer many other pursuits including rock climbing, canyoning, bushwalking, orienteering and rogaining.

A number of lakes, rivers and dams offer water skiing, sailing, fishing, canoeing, swimming and dragon boating. There's also horse riding available in fantastic locations.

The Capertee Valley is recognised internationally as an Important Bird Area (IBA) and one of the 50 top bird watching locations in the world.
