Winter In Sydney...

We are officially in the depth of Winter....but that is no excuse to become a hermit! Ok, we agree the odd day of binge-ing Netflix is not a bad thing, but you'll miss out on so much! So separate yourself from the couch, rug up and enjoy winter in Sydney!

Whale Watching

May to November
Between May and November over 30,000 whales travel up the Australian coast to the warmer seas to give birth to their young. There are many vantage points and whale watching cruise tours in Sydney which allow you to experience these beautiful giants. Vantage points include many of Sydneys beaches including Bondi Beach, South Head in Watsons Bay, North Head in Manly, & Aranbaroo Lookout.

Bondi Winter Magic
28th June - 28th July
For the 10th year running the iconic Bondi Beach will turn into a wonderful winter wonderland! The forecourt of the Bondi Pavilion will turn into Bondi Ice Rink, so get on your skates and show us your best twirls. Other attractions include the Bond Vista, a 22mtr high ferris wheel), historic walks, & Bondi Feast. Bondi Feast is a fringe-style winter festival which includes live music, theatre, comedy shows, cabaret & circus shows.

Sydney Walks
All year round
Sydney has hundreds of walks with many of them hiding some of the best views of the city and its surrounds. Just because the temperature has dropped doesn't mean walking gets put on hold! In fact some of Sydney's walks are best done in the cooler months.
Some of our favourites include the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk (of course!), South Marouba to Malabar, Manly to Spit Bridge walk and Nielsen Park to Watsons Bay.

Musicals, Musicals, Musicals
Throughout Winter
Sydney has an array of big name musicals coming to town this winter and we are super excited! Chicago The Musical will be coming to premier at the Capitol Theatre in August, while one of Australia's most iconic loved movies Muriel's Wedding brings it's cheeky musical to the Sydney Lyric Theatre later this month. Other shows include West Side Story (Sydney Opera House) & Bring It On The Musical (State Theatre).

The Rocks Christmas in July
11th July - 14th July
When you visit The Rocks Christmas in July village you'll feel like you're in France in the middle of December. The Rocks will host 12 Christmas chalets covered in Christmas decorations selling all things Christmas. Head down to The Rocks the second weekend in July and listen to the sweet sounds of Christmas carols whilst sipping on mulled wine.
