LATE NIGHT OPENING | FRIDAY 28 June 5pm-8.30pm EXCAVATED BY NIGHT

The Museum of Tropical Queensland will open for one night only for the special launch of the Excavatedschool holiday program this Friday 28 June 2019 from 5-8.30pm.

Families can kick start the school holidays by having a go in the interactive Field School and participate in range of hands-on activities that include excavation, classification and stratigraphy.

Hear from underwater archaeologist Dr Maddy McAllister when she chats about some of the most amazing shipwrecks every discovered and the super-cool technology used to discover wrecks lying on the ocean floor.

Visitors can also purchase tickets to exclusive behind the scenes tours to discover the working areas of the Museum normally off limits to the public.

This event will be held in conjunction with Reef HQ Great Barrier Reef Aquarium, who will also be open from 6-9pm with a variety of tours and activities.

Cost: Everyone at locals prices. Admission is free for Annual Pass holders.
