Beefy feasts await at Up & Above Restaurant this summer with a magnificent 1 kg succulent Cape Grim Tasmanian Tomahawk steak for two, and a premium 200 g Kagoshima beef sirloin from southern Japan.
Farmed in the northwest of Tasmania, Cape Grim cattle are raised on nothing but lush green pasture, resulting in beef with a wonderfully natural taste. The Tomahawk steak is an on-the-bone cut from the fore-rib. As a rib steak it is full of inter-muscular fat, which gives it its tenderness and a deep, sweet gelatinous flavour when cooked. A meaty 2-5 cms thick, it makes an ideal steak for sharing on a special occasion.
The Kagoshima sirloin comes from the famous Kagoshima black cattle raised in southern Japan. It is highly sought after because of its beautiful marbling, which gives the meat an incredible softness and full-bodied flavour.
Perfectly cooked to preference, the steaks can be enjoyed with a toothsome side dish selection include honey pumpkin puree, grilled shiitake mushrooms, grilled green asparagus, sautéed daikon, and french fries with tagorashi, mayonnaise and katsuobushi.
The Tasmanian Tomahawk promotion is available daily from 1 July - 31 August 2019 from noon - 10:30 p.m. 1 kg Cape Grim Tasmanian Tomahawk is Baht 5,500++ and it is good for 2 persons. For 200 g Japanese Kagoshima beef sirloin is Baht 1,600++.
