Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris, approved more than $200,000 in funding to the North Coast Destination Network (NCDN) to attract and grow international visitors to The Legendary Pacific Coast.
The NCDN campaign will:
- Partner with Scoot Airlines on a direct consumer cooperative campaign promoting self-drive touring experiences between Sydney and the Gold Coast to Singaporean travellers
- Generate new distribution and promotion through close engagement with traditional inbound distribution including leading inbound tour operators
- Provide industry training and mentoring to increase the depth of choice of TLPC international ready destinations, products and experiences
- Develop and distribute printed and online communications in English and simplified Chinese for specific trade and consumer audiences
- Assist TLPC’s participation in key trade events and missions to international markets in partnership with Destination NSW and Tourism Australia. NCDN Executive Officer, Ms Belinda Novicky, said: “Matching funding to the total $417,500 is contributed by airline partners, North Coast NSW local Councils, Tourism Organisations, industry and marketing partners in the Central Coast, Hunter and Port Stephens.”
TLPC International Specialist, Russell Mills, said: “Destinations included in the campaign are Great Lakes, Greater Taree (Manning Valley), Greater Port Macquarie, Kempsey Shire, Nambucca Valley, Bellingen, Coffs Coast, Clarence Valley, Lismore & Nimbin, Ballina, Byron Shire, The Tweed, Port Stephens, Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Valley.”
