A Revitalised Show Floor Experience

MEETINGS 2025 introduced a suite of new features that elevated the energy and interactivity of New Zealand’s premier business events trade show. Held in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, this year’s edition brought forward-thinking design, smart scheduling, and cutting-edge technology to the forefront—reflecting the evolving needs of the global business events industry.

The show floor layout itself was redesigned to include two standout additions: the debut of the Technology Zone and the return of the Peek Exhibition-sponsored Business Hub. These new inclusions created spaces that supported both connection and convenience for buyers, exhibitors, and industry professionals alike.

Technology Zone Showcased Innovation

For the first time, MEETINGS featured a dedicated Technology Zone—a curated space where 11 leading organisations presented the latest in audiovisual and digital event technology. Attendees explored real-time demonstrations and hands-on experiences that included virtual event tools, high-impact displays, and innovations in lighting, sound, and audience engagement platforms.

This new hub served as both a knowledge-sharing platform and a practical showcase, allowing planners and buyers to explore tangible solutions for enhancing their future events.

Business Hub Offered Calm Amid the Buzz

In contrast to the buzz of the show floor, the Peek Exhibition Business Hub provided a moment of calm. Designed for buyers needing a quiet space to recharge or catch up on emails, the hub was a popular feature across both days of MEETINGS.

Whether for a quick call, a place to rest between appointments, or an opportunity to reset in comfort, the Business Hub added a valuable layer of support to the event’s already impressive offering.

New Access for Industry Professionals

Another exciting update in 2025 was the introduction of Industry Hours. On Wednesday, 11 June and Thursday, 12 June, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, those who were not registered as hosted buyers or exhibitors were invited to explore the exhibition floor.

This new initiative opened the doors to more of the wider events community, offering planners, suppliers, and other professionals the chance to engage with MEETINGS, network, and see firsthand how participation could benefit their businesses in future years.

Michelle Bird, MEETINGS Exhibition Manager, said the response to Industry Hours was overwhelmingly positive. “It allowed people who may not have had time for full registration to get a taste of what MEETINGS can offer. It was especially useful for local industry members who wanted to see the show in action or visit a partner’s stand,” she explained.

MEETINGS 2025 once again proved why it remains a key fixture in the Southern Hemisphere’s business events calendar. With a renewed focus on flexibility, accessibility, and innovation, the event delivered a platform that not only facilitated deals and inspiration but also provided the tools and spaces needed to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry.
