After a few days of launch, the double-decker river bus (Saigon WaterGo) giving residents and tourists the opportunity to travel on the Saigon River officially operates with 6-9 trips per day. The time frame for double-decker buses departing from Bach Dang wharf (District 1), is the sunset and sunrise times of the day to make it interesting for tourists to admire the city and "check in" during the journey.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Toan, Director of Thuong Nhat Company, the owner of Saigon WaterGo shared, travelling on the Saigon River with its unique characteristics will certainly be a bright spot to attract tourists when coming to the city. In particular, international tourists will be extremely impressed with tours on the river, both before dawn and during the magical sunset.

After the river bus model - Saigon WaterBus was put into operation in 2017, welcoming more than 4,000 passengers/day (stopping at 5 stations, 10km long journey), the company put a double-decker bus into service to enrich the city's river tourism products.

The river bus route recently added an additional parking/pickup station, Thu Thiem station, to create an opportunity for tourists to get off the river bus to visit the riverbank area in Thu Duc City to see the Sunflower fields and Book Street, pedestrian area. It is expected that in the near future, this river bus route will have one more stop, Thao Dien Station (Thu Duc City).
