Wade Forster CROWNED 44TH TOYOTA STAR MAKER WINNER

Thredbo is celebrating a successful 29th Blues Festival last weekend which saw over a thousand blues lovers descend on the Snowy Mountains for 3 huge days of live music and good times.

Thredbo Resort hosted the 29th Thredbo Blues Festival last weekend, attracting guests to the Snowy Mountains from all over the country to enjoy a huge 3 day program featuring over 60 performances from more than 20 of Australia's best blues acts.

The unique festival atmosphere took over the entire resort this weekend with a non-stop lineup of shows running from morning to night at 15 venues across the mountain and the village.

With huge headline acts including Ray Beadle, Karen Lee Andrews, Jeff Lang and Alison Ferrier, 19Twenty, Dom Turner & The Rural Blues Project, and Geoff Achison, festival goers were treated to lively gigs and intimate performances by some of the country's best blues acts.

In addition to the headline acts, the festival supported a range of up-and-coming performers, with the youngest act being 12 year old LilG who impressed audiences with her incredible talent at such a young age.

Kicking off on Friday night and rolling all the way through to Sunday, guests enjoyed everything the festival had to offer including gourmet blues-style dining experiences, kicking back with friends at large festival-style outdoor shows, and hitting the dance floor into the early hours at iconic venues like the Keller Bar and Schuss Bar.

Looking forward, Thredbo’s summer events calendar won’t be slowing down anytime soon, with Cannonball MTB Festival kicking off on February 12, the third installment of the Thredbo Gravity Series on February 3, and the Taste of the Snowies Food & Wine Festival on March 2.
