And that’s a wrap on the nation’s largest country music festival!

52nd Toyota Country Music Festival
The nation’s largest country music celebration has wrapped up in Tamworth, NSW with the 52nd Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth, bringing in hundreds of thousands of fans and visitors across the 10-days.

Strong daily numbers were recorded in Toyota Park, with over 7,000 people turning out for the Opening Concert, with similar numbers experienced across several concerts during the Festival.

Toyota Country Music Festival Manager, Barry Harley says this year’s event has seen numbers return to pre-COVID levels.

“This year we recorded more buskers than ever before, with over 370 registrations and we saw a significant increase in the number of campers and caravanners, with additional areas opened up in the Carter St precinct, that haven’t been used in a number of years,” he said.

“All our venues reported healthy numbers with many shows selling out and artists say that crowds were some of the biggest they’ve seen in many years.

“It is extremely exciting and comforting to see more visitors returning to Tamworth to enjoy this iconic event.

Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo, said the 2024 Toyota Country Festival Music has been a fantastic 10 days filled with festival goers, talented artists, and performers.

“It has been a pleasure to support the festival for another year, which continues to be a remarkable celebration of outstanding country music.

Watching both the festival and the artists grow and flourish is just one of the many highlights of being a part of such an incredible Australian cultural event.”

The 10-day celebration witnessed an impressive surge in attendance, with enthusiastic crowds turning out in great numbers.

Kicking off on Friday, 19 January 2024 with the Opening Concert in the festival’s largest outdoor venue, Toyota Park, featuring Toyota Golden Guitar Female Artist of the Year, Amber Lawrence, 2023 Toyota Golden Guitar Male Artist of the Year Andrew Swift, as well as 2024 Golden Guitar nominees Lane Pittman and Loren Ryan, and 2023 Toyota Golden Guitar winners Lyn Bowtell and Luke O’Shea.

On Sunday, 21 January, Wade Forster was crowned the 2024 Toyota Star Maker, while the achievements and success of artists were celebrated at the Toyota 52nd Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday 27 January.

The 52nd Toyota Country Music Festival officially came to a close with the Toyota Best of the Buskers concert last night, with Robbi & Ben taking out the win for the 2024 festival.

“To the fans, the visitors, the industry and the artists, thank you for coming back to Tamworth, for what has been a fantastic return to tradition,” said Mr Harley.

“And of course, a massive thank you also goes to our dedicated sponsors and partners, including Toyota, DNSW, and McDonald’s Australia, as well as Kennards Hire, Country Music Capital News, Australian Community Media, KIX Country Radio, XXXX, and WIN. Without them, our iconic event would not be possible.
