Tourism Research Australia's (TRA) forecasts for 2023-2028 reveal promising projections for Queensland.
This report forecasts for a range of tourism indicators for both domestic and international tourism in Australia.
In Queensland, total visitor nights are expected to grow by 3.5 per cent annually from 2024 on average to 116.3 million in 2028.
By 2025 it is expected that international arrivals to Australia will surpass pre-COVID-19 levels.
Notably, business travel to Queensland is expected to rise over the next five years in the lead up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.
