Since launching in late August, TEQ’s podcast, ‘Accessed That’ continues to sit at #1 in the Apple Podcast travel charts, averaging 420 downloads each week. Last weeks episode eight was released titled ‘Travel without limits with Julie Jones.’ In this episode, Julie talks about her family’s recent holiday to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef and what it is like travelling when one of your kids has a disability. The podcast is generating plenty of talk throughout the accessible travel community and more broadly, celebrating some of the incredible experiences on offer for everyone to enjoy across Queensland.
Listening to the podcasts is also a wonderful opportunity for tourism businesses to increase their understanding and awareness of the needs of accessible travellers. Providing a review or rating will also help maintain the podcast's high profile for listeners.
Concurrently, the Department Tourism, Innovation and Sport have also released podcast episodes - 'Igniting Accessible Experiences' - created specifically for tourism businesses to help identify opportunities to improve. Listen here.
