It's known for its long sandy beach and the Nelson Museum, which focuses on the life of Admiral Horatio Nelson.
Its Pleasure Beach has reopened with a new ride named Lightning 360. It sits on a tower with eight arms each supporting a two-seater aeroplane carriage that can be controlled by the user to turn 360 degrees.
The Pleasure Beach offers ‘wild knuckle and child-friendly rides’ including the Freefall Tower, classic dodgems, a Haunted House, monorail, log flume, the Big Apple roller coaster and the Twister experience.
To ensure the safety of visitors, entrance tickets for this summer will need to be bought online in advance.
This will give a pre-arranged, three hour, unlimited access to the pleasure beaches 26 rides and attractions.
At the end of each three-hour session, the rides will close for a short time period to allow the park to empty and for each ride to get a deep clean before the next session.
