NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park announces the newest additions to their popular Southern Great Barrier Reef holiday destination – two bespoke ocean-view safari tents.
An easy four hours' drive from Brisbane, the Holiday Park is located in the beachside village of Woodgate Beach, just south of Bundaberg on the Southern Great Barrier Reef and north of the Fraser Coast.
Designed in alignment with the surrounding Burrum Coast National Park, the safari tents are built from rich woods with a fit-out of natural finishes. The result is a relaxed beachside glamping experience with all the modern comforts.
The accommodation offers ocean glimpses from the spacious outdoor living areas featuring bar and lounge seating, outdoor claw-foot baths, indoor lounge and dining, modern ensuite bathrooms and kitchenettes, and full air-conditioning.
Generously sized, the tents cater to couples and young families, with a queen bed with canopy affording privacy, while the little ones will be entertained in their own cubby-like sleeping nook.
Active explorers will relish the surrounding national park and the 13km long white sand beach on the doorstep, or discover the pristine reef and giant marine life of Lady Elliot and Lady Musgrave Islands, with daytrips departing from Bundaberg.
Foodies can discover the rich culinary experiences of the Bundaberg region including the wineries and farmgates of neighbouring Childers and family activities are also easily found, from sunny days in the calm blue waters of the bay, or exploring the zoos and parks of the area.
Since restrictions have lifted to allow travel within Queensland, NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park has been attracting strong numbers of travellers.
Paul Davies, CEO of NRMA Parks and Resorts said ““We are proud to now offer this deluxe accommodation option at NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park. They join a line-up of glamping and safari-style accommodation across the NRMA family of properties, and have been very well received already by early guests for their relaxed luxury.”
“We have seen a very positive response from travellers since the easing of lockdown restrictions in Queensland, as people have sought the peace and wide spaces of the region.”
“During the winter months, the park traditionally attracts many southerners escaping the cold weather to enjoy the warmer climes of the Bundaberg region, however this year Queensland guests have more than made up for the decline in southerners.”
“Australians are showing unwavering support for the regional tourism-dependant communities who have been hit hard during COVID, and NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park is an ideal place from which to explore the towns of Bundaberg and the Fraser Coast.”
