- Couples and Families Worldwide Can Audition for #TakeMeToTahiti by April 5
Today Tahiti Tourisme released a new video chapter in its “Two Stories/One Mana” global destination campaign, as the search intensifies to cast new couples and families for starring roles in future episodes. The deadline to audition is April 5.
Chapter 3 premiering today stars California couple Thom and Jeff, who were selected from last year’s casting call and flown to The Islands of Tahiti last year by Air Tahiti Nui for what the Los Angeles couple called “the trip of a lifetime”.
Their video captures the couple’s travels immersed in the islands’ secluded beauty, unique Tahitian culture and French Polynesian style, world-class luxury and wild terrain.
To film more chapters, Tahiti Tourisme is searching for new stars – real couples and families – and has expanded its casting call on social media so that travellers worldwide can audition.
“We hear all the time from visitors who want to reconnect with themselves and others, while disconnecting from their hectic lives to recharge,” said Tahiti Tourisme CEO Paul Sloan.
“We’re excited to film more chapters of ‘Two Stories/One Mana’ in June with new couples and families looking to find meaningful inspiration in The Islands of Tahiti.”
“Two Stories/One Mana” promotes a deeper connection to the islands with “Mana”, what the Tahitian people believe to be the spiritual life force that connects and surrounds all living things. Visitors are encouraged to seek out authentic, lesser-known experiences, in addition to enjoying the islands’ iconic beauty and privacy.
#TakeMeToTahiti A new casting call is underway to find more couples and families who will get to film new campaign videos in The Islands of Tahiti this June.
Australian couples and families can audition by creating a 15-second video saying what inspires them about The Islands of Tahiti and what their top three favourite Tahiti activities would be.
Audition videos should be submitted via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #TakeMeToTahiti. The casting call ends April 5.
Three couples or families will be selected for starring roles. They will fly to The Islands of Tahiti in June for an incredible experience ranging from “getting away from it all” in secluded luxury to “being a part of it all” amongst the vibrant Tahitian culture and adventure.
Chapter 3 In Chapter 3, Thom, a creative project manager, and Jeff, a nonprofit development manager, were flown from their home city of Los Angeles, California to The Islands of Tahiti last summer to document their iconic Mana experiences.
In an unexpected twist, the film crew separated all of the starring couples and sent them on different discoveries of the islands.
Thom enjoyed driving up the mountain and going waterfall hunting in the rainforest. Jeff’s favourite experiences included scuba diving in Rangiroa and horseback riding through a pineapple field in Moorea.
“I loved how we were encouraged to find that Mana balance of unplugging and reconnecting,” said Jeff.
“It was great to pull away from each other and go and have our own diverse and different experiences, then come back together and share what we did.”
“I was surprised by the culture,” said Thom.
“You look one way and see European architecture and cafes, then turn and see palm trees and mountains. It’s these different cultures in one fun place. The people really wanted us to have a good time, making us feel very welcome.”
