The Rocks

Destination NSW has released two new research snapshots on tourism to The Rocks and Kings Cross.

Both areas are hugely popular with tourists. In the year ending September 2016, of the total international and domestic overnight visitors to NSW, more than 2.8 million visited The Rocks and 1.2 million visited Kings Cross. Together, these visitors accounted for more than one quarter of all overnight visitors to Sydney.

The profile of visitors to each precinct is similar, with most international visitors coming from China, the United States and United Kingdom, and most domestic overnight visitors travelling from Victoria, regional NSW and Queensland.
