What Eats not to miss at the Sydney Royal Easter Show

There is so much to do and see at the Sydney Royal Easter Show that it would be quite easy to miss out on some of the things I spotted yesterday when I came to the Show.

FOOD
There is a wide variety of yummy food to be enjoyed at the Show. There are the traditional Show foods, cafes, restaurants, tea rooms. Some cost a small fortune, while some are reasonably priced.

The new food at this years Show is the Lasagna on a Stick, found at the start of the Animal Walk. The bargain meal at the show is the $2 Cheese Toastie, which is available in various spots around the Showground, including the Food Dome, in the chidrens carnival ride area  and outside the Schmidt Horse Arena. The Snack Shack, on the ground level of the Spotless Arena, has great food for around $3, including hot chips.

The free tastings of food are to be found in the Food Dome, where you can sample yoghurt, liquorice, flavoured teas, nuts, honey and fruit. You can also queue up at the Woolworths stand and be given about 5 different samples of food on a paper plate as you move along the line. The best stand of all is the Western Star Butter stand, where you will be given a buttered freshly cooked half Hot Cross Bun for free.

ENTERTAINMENT
If your legs are feeling a bit tired from all the walking at the show check out what is happening at main Spotless Arena, the Amphitheatre, the Woodchop Stadium, or the Schmidt Arena.

DISPLAYS
Make sure you don't miss out seeing the various displays in the Pavilions. You can see all the animal, from farm animals to pets. Then there is the flowers, craft and cooking.
