Gourmet pie lovers can now eat their way around one of NSW’s favourite destinations, with the Southern Highland’s launch of a unique Pie Trail.
The region has more home-made pie outlets per square kilometre than anywhere else in Australia and is fast becoming known for the best pies in the country.
Featuring 28 outlets with gourmet combinations of beef, chicken, veg and more, the Pie Trail map can be found in the Southern Highlands 2017 Destination Planner, which is available online and in visitor centres.
In a few months, the region will also host the Pie Time Festival. The two-day event will showcase everything about the great Aussie icon and provide the opportunity to enjoy delicious pies following the inaugural Southern Highlands Best Pie Competition in June.
There will be lots to see and do, including market stalls, food & wine, kids’ activities, family fun and more.
Visit the Destination Southern Highlands website for more information.
