The Sound of Progress - rehearsals well underway for The Sound of Music

The cast and crew of The Sound of Music are now 12 weeks into rehearsals A tremendous amount of progress has been made on the MATS rendition of this classic broadway musical.

Cast and crew members gather each Tuesday night for singing, with assistance of a piano accompaniment. Then on Thursday nights, the acting takes place and the scenes blocked accordingly.

Last Wednesday night, the 25th May, the cast and Muswellbrook Shire Council Band came together. This was a major milestone in the rehearsal process.

Apart from the cast, the crew has been working very hard on building set pieces, procuring props, preparing light and sound gear, sewing costumes and sewing them again because the Von Trapp children keep growing.
