CATE BLANCHETT AND ROBERT REDFORD FILM IN SYDNEY

Sydney will feature in a new film starring Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford, with shooting scheduled over eight weeks this Spring.

The film Truth was secured with assistance from NSW Trade & Investment's State Investment Attraction Scheme. As well as being filmed in Sydney, much of the post-production work will also be completed in NSW.

Deputy Premier, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Tourism and Major Events Troy Grant said: “Sydney is a truly global city, renowned for its ‘film friendly’ attitude, its range of versatile locations and world class cast, crews and facilities.”

“This international production, starring Sydney’s own Cate Blanchett, and one of Hollywood’s most iconic stars, Robert Redford, shows yet again that NSW is at the top of the list of preferred international production destinations.”

NSW continues to lead in the screen sector in Australia, with nearly 60 per cent of all people employed nationally in screen production and post-production businesses based in the State. More than half (55 per cent) of all Australian production and post-production businesses are located in NSW.
